EDISON, N.J., May 28, 2024 - CS Energy announced that it finished 2023 as the number one commercial solar installer in the United States with a 5.3 percent market share, according to the Wood Mackenzie U.S. PV Leaderboard. Wood Mackenzie also placed the company as the number three community solar installer with a 4.3 percent market share. Wood Mackenzie is the leading global provider of data and analytics solutions for the renewables, energy, and natural resources sectors. The Wood Mackenzie U.S. PV Leaderboard has been ranking solar installation companies based on detailed interconnection data for nearly a decade.

The US solar industry had a strong 2023, with the total market increasing 51 percent from 2022. However, 2023 was not without significant challenges. CS Energy was able to leverage its extensive experience to overcome labor scarcity, supply chain and logistics constraints, as well as rising project costs. The company also executed its first project in the state of Arkansas last year – a first-of-its-kind solar-plus-storage project in the state. Additionally, CS Energy further expanded within the ERCOT battery energy storage system (BESS) market in Texas and is currently supporting multiple clients and projects in the state.
In addition to Wood Mackenzie ranking CS Energy as the number one commercial solar installer and number three community solar installer in the U.S. in 2023, the company was also recognized by Solar Power World as the number one solar contractor in the states of New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island.
