PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Green is not only the New York Jets team color but its philosophy for energy conservation. Conti installed a rooftop solar system at the Jet’s Atlantic Health Training Center, the largest of any NFL team.
Conti completed a solar electric generation system at the NY Jets headquarters and training center in Florham Park, NJ. The system, funded through a power purchase agreement, is saving the Jets tens of thousands dollars each year in electricity expenses with no capital outlay.
Conti installed 3,000 solar panels to the facility’s standing seam metal roof using a completely non-invasive, non-penetrating mounting system. The system is designed to generate over 750,000 kWh of electricity each year and will reduce CO2 emissions by 540 metric tons each year, equivalent to taking over 100 cars off the road.
Conti designed and built this solar project to stand the test of time and completed it on budget, on schedule and just in time for the NFL season. At Conti, we have the same commitment to excellence of execution required for success in the NFL. The New York Jets demand the very best from themselves and from their partners, and Conti appreciated the opportunity to be a part of this stellar team.
This was the largest solar photovoltaic installation at a NFL team headquarters and another first-of-its-kind project successfully performed by Conti.
